Both beginning and experienced skaters need time to practice. PFSC in coordination with SQSA buys prime-time ice so members don't have to be at the rink early in the morning or late at night. Our contracts run from September through late April so our skaters never have to worry about being out in the cold during hockey season when many figure skaters have a hard time finding ice! Our ice times are usually at 4:15, 5:30 and 6:45 pm Monday thru Thursday, at 4:15 and 5:30 pm on Fridays and at 9:30 am and 10:30 on Saturdays. The 6:45pm session on Monday and Tuesdays is reserved for our two oldest synchronized skating teams. The 4:15pm sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is reserved for higher test level skaters. From mid November through February all the weekday ice times start half hour later. Go to Quick Link to Forms to download the SQSA and the PFSC contracts as well as the Ice Calendar for 2009-2010. During May a mini May ice contract is offered by SQSA usually beginning right after the ice show until mid May when Parade usually closes for 2 weeks for maintenance. In the summer time we work with SQSA to offer SummerQuest, which offers a complete training program from mid June thru late August, with daily ice usually running from 9am to 3pm and a series of both on and off ice group classes. Want your own personal space at the rink? All lockers at Parade Ice Garden are reserved for PFSC members only and are available on a first come/first served basis. Annual contracts run from September through August at a usual cost of $35. Lockers for the 2009/2010 season are at no charge to members. For more information, email Xtreasurer@paradefsc.org. (please copy and paste this email to your email program and then remove the leading X--this is in an attempt to cut down on incoming spam) PFSC in 2009 - 2010 offers two synchronized skating teams. The team competes in ISI endorsed events. Teams are identified by their ISI competitive divisions. This year the Polar Edge will be classified as a Youth Junior Youth team equivalent to a middle school age team (with practices each Tuesday evening). Additionally we offer the Introduction to Synchro Penguins and Pixies lines which skate in the Studio Rink for a 10 session season in the fall and a 9 session season in the spring. For information, send an email. Club warm-ups jackets are a great way to let skaters from other rinks know where you're from and they make it easy for skaters to find their teammates (and coaches to find their skaters) at competitions. Jackets for older skaters are made by LuluLemon in Canada and for younger skaters are a Mondor of Canada polar fleece jacket, with the SQSA PARADE embroidered on the back and the skaters name embroidered on the sleeve.
